2YN: Assignment 1 Redux

Ginger gave me some good suggestions in the first assignments comment. Instead of one big sentence write the expanded idea as more than one sentence. 

To be honest I never thought of that before since the assignment was talking about using the one sentence in the short version. I never even thought about when expanding it to make it more than one sentence.

But here is my revised Expanded idea from Assignment 1.

Expanded Version 2 (written on 10-14-09)

Michael and Brad were college roommates. Brad had gone on to have a stable career, while Michael moved away to Hollywood to try his hand at writing. It was coming up on 5 years since graduation, and Michael was frustrated with his career to date. By chance he found Brad on a social networking site. When Michael returns to Brad's life, what will happen to their friendship?

2 YN: Week 2: The Basics: Genre

Assignment 1- Give the main genre of your story, and then list a few reasons why. Also explain if this crosses over into another genre. 

Main Genre: Erotic Fiction, it is going to be erotica because I want to write explicit sex scenes and not just pass it over. And there is going to be some light bondage as well, so that doesn't fall into any of the normal categories.

It is fiction because if you take out the sex and bondage, you just have a gay love story. Which probably is it's own separate genre as well.

Assignment 1- Write down your own single line idea. Then expand it to no less than 50, but no more than 100 words.

Single line idea:

A young man sets out on a new direction in life after not being as successful as he wanted.

Expanded Version 1 (written on 10-13-09):
