down your own single line idea. Then expand it to no less than 50, but no more

Single line idea:
A young man sets out on a new direction in life after not
being as successful as he wanted.
Expanded Version 1
(written on 10-13-09):
Michael and Brad were college roommates, Brad had gone on to
have a stable career, while Michael
moved away to Hollywood to try writing, it was coming up on 5 years
after graduating college and Michael was frustrated with his career to
date. When Michael returns to Brad's
life, what will happen to their friendship?
